Join the Brigade to Cuba!

This is a unique opportunity for you to support Cuba in the most direct 
manner by working for a few days on a construction site or by picking 
fruit. You will experience closely the cultural, political and social 
conditions in revolutionary Cuba. The main features of the Brigade 

* Working with Cubans
* Talks on various aspects of conditions in Cuba given by prominent Cuban 
* Visits to places of interest (e.g. schools, hospitals, factories);
* Home-stays with Cuban families for a few nights;
* Participation in cultural activities.

There is also the possibility of staying in Cuba after the Brigade to 
participate in the celebrations to commemorate the 150th birthday of Jose 

The group will depart from Sydney on December 26,2002 and will arrive back 
in Australian on January 24, 2003.

The cost (to be confirmed) is approximately $3800.

The price includes:

* Airfares ex Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane;
* Ticket from Australia and return;
* All accommodation, meals, excursions and transport in Cuba;
* Transfers and stopovers;
* Taxes;
* Commemorative T-shirt.

The price does not include:

* All other expenses en route (meals etc);
* Sydney Airport Noise Tax;
* Travel insurance (this is compulsory for everyone);
* Visas

Co-ordinator, Flora, or a local Cuba Friendship Society representative 
(telephone numbers are given below).

If you decide to go, you will be given a comprehensive kit including 
information about conditions in Cuba, Brigade activities, tips on what to 
take and other important information.

Information meetings will be held in most locations. Intending participants 
should attend these meetings.
